Tokenise Global Ltd
While some businesses are happy to serve a narrow range of digital securities, there are a few players who have their eyes on something bigger. Tokenise is one of these companies, with a stated goal of providing a comprehensive global suite of services.
Tokenise International, based in Gibraltar, and licensed within Barbados, already maintains a global presence. The community consists of many branches;
- With Tokenise.io
- Licensed service broker
- With Tokenise.co.uk
- Crowdfunding Equity
- Tokenisestock.exchange operation
- Exchange of global security toks
What is the problem, then?
A developed exchange group is the largest missing link in the world of digital securities. To date, the sector is rife with competitors operating as issuance platforms and custodians, yet there remains a marked dearth of options for real digital securities purchase / sell.
In addition, multiple exchanges are confined to offering their services within the borders of their own nation. There are very few, if any, genuinely global solutions.
How are they going to solve it? – Tokenise Bourses
Tokenise.io is ready to be put to work by obtaining licensing as a broker. With that being the case, Tokenise Stock Exchange has become the immediate focus of Tokenise International, the holding company.
The Tokenise Stock Exchange, previously known as DAXNET, just saw its website go live. Investors can start onboarding here, and gain access to a variety of opportunities.
The following are listed in Tokenise Stock Exchange as a few of the services they offer at this time.
- Emission capacities, facilitating the hosting of both IPOs and STOs
- Secondary market support, providing a ‘home’ for existing tokens and thereby creating liquidity and accessibility
In addition to supporting the issuance and trading of security tokens, Tokenise has impregnated the types of supported security tokens with a great deal of flexibility. Those tokens can be structured as anything from equity , debt, dividends, fractional ownership, funds, and more.
Martin Graham, Group Chairman, spoke about why security tokens are making such a promise,
“Tokenisation of securities and other real-world assets will make capital markets accessible and efficient. Removing inefficiencies, frictions and obstacles to participation would democratize the process of matching venture capital providers and customers. This, in effect, would increase the flow of funds to market investors and investment opportunities.
Of course, as this is an exchange that supports security tokens, investor participation is limited to those that pass the KYC and AML parameters required.
While the company’s focus could be on Tokenise Stock Exchange, collaboration with Tokenise UK is still ongoing. With the state of the economy in 2020, many have observed that funding through traditional VC channels has diminished considerably. As a consequence, we saw an growing interest in equity crowdfunding.
While time will tell if equity crowdfunding will maintain the interest and turn it into actual participation, Tokenise intends to be ready. One example of events that can be anticipated on the platform is KABN’s latest offering – an equity token that aims to raise USD $8 million.
Tokenise International is an expert team behind the different items on sale. The center of this group consists of the following five men, each of whom boasts impressive resumes.
- Michael Kessler-Managing Director & Manager
- Martin Graham-Chair of the Group
- Simone Murray-Head of Finance
- Simon Kiero-Watson-Markets Director
- Hirander Misra-Group Manager
What about Next?
Starting with the onboarding of customers, we reached out to Tokenise Stock Exchange asking them, ‘What’s next? What is the next marker on the Tokenise roadmap that businesses as well as investors can look forward to? Michael Kessler, Tokenise Stock Exchange CEO & Chairman, took the time to expand on what they are selling, and what we should look forward to.
He declared, “Security tokenisation and other real world assets can improve capital markets’ transparency and efficiency.
By bringing new asset classes across multiple jurisdictions into a global investor community, businesses will be able to raise capital more easily and generate more liquidity where it was previously illiquid. As for the next steps
- Enabling full KYC & AML and investor categorization
- We speak to a variety of issuers who are interested in listing on the website and going through one of our corporate advisors
- We expect the first listings to be made in the coming weeks / months (partly dependent on Covid) that will enable people to list multiple asset classes to suit their needs, including:
- New Class of Assets
- Fractional ownership of the assets
- Private equity Royalties
As well as traditional assets:
We ‘re talking to more than 20 new businesses from securitisation influencers and household names, medicinal CBD facilities, property assets, beverage producers, beauty products, fintech businesses etc. Ideally we’ll have 3-4 new issuances ready to go through the listing process and join our exchange in the coming weeks. We ‘d love to have new issuers contact us and register for investors.
While the market is nowhere near saturated with regard to exchanges of security tokens, a few are currently active or under development. Every one of the following possesses the potential to compete with what Tokenise has to offer.
- MERJ WERK
- Archax: Archax
Each of these exchanges varies slightly, with MERJ serving a global client base, while OFN is limited to the U.S., and Archax still has to launch.
