Luxury Real Estate
With several STOs currently on the dock in a number of asset classes, Smartlands has just announced a new partnership that will potentially see the introduction of more than one. This move saw the UK-based business affiliate with Sotheby’s International Realty.
This partnership would see the duo discuss the possibility of acquiring multiple pieces of luxurious real estate. The business states that two unique properties have the ability for tokenization.
- Greek Islands Villa
- London Penthouse Apartment
Although details on the STOs are sparse, the Greek Islands Villa is currently under the ownership of a world-renowned hotel network.
This cooperation prompted the Executive Director of Smartlands, Katharine Manderfield, to comment. She said that deals of this level of exclusivity would turn a new page on asset tokenization.
Although others are just making their first moves in the new digital securities environment, Smartlands is one of the few firms to have effectively accomplished an STO. Not just that, but they’re going on to next prospects.
Like any experience, they have the potential to influence our future acts. Expect Smartlands to learn from their previous activities in the generation of money, and extend the experience to the innovations addressed here today.
Due to the nature of real estate, multiple tokenization platforms have been drawn from more than just the United Kingdom. Although hiccups have happened along the way – such as the disappointment of Fluidity and Propelllr – real estate continues to be one of the most profitable sectors to be converted by digital securities.
While starting to branch out into various industries, such as services and entrepreneurial start-ups, expect real estate to remain a common platform on Smartlands’ road to the target of securing $1 billion in assets.

Smartlands has recently taken its first steps in working within the United States, not happy with incentives found exclusively in the United Kingdom. These moves were taken by establishing a partnership with a U.S.-based broker/dealer to offer access to state-side investors on their platform.
